2. RECORD

Note the exact location and coordinates

3. PHOTOGRAPH

Take photos showing the object in context at the find site

4. NOTIFY

Contact your local heritage authority or museum

5. HAND OVER

Give the artifact to professionals

Notify the heritage authority or a museum. Do not remove or take the object away from the find site.
