Nickel and bimetal (Soviet kopecks)
- **Bar soap** soak for several days
- Every day — take it out and brush it with a toothbrush
- To restore nickel: vinegar + salt
- **Asidol (rust converter)** — Soviet coins turn whitish, and the copper ones turn pale
Cast items and jewelry
- Fiberglass brushes work, but you need a gentler touch (use long, frayed fibers)
- Clean in water, without pressure
- **⚠️ If it has stones — don't clean it!** They'll all fall out.
Thick layers of oxides
- Scaler/scraper — remove the thick layer
- Azelit or citric acid
- Finish with a fiberglass brush
Cast iron shot/cannonballs
- 9 V electrolysis or heat + brush
- Oil for preservation
