☄️ Meteorites

A metal detector can pick up about 90% of meteorites, since they contain nickel-iron.

• **Signal:** Usually reads as a "low/iron" tone or a mixed signal.
• **Test:** Is it magnetic? Does it have a fusion crust?
• **Where:** In known fall zones, or by chance in plowed fields.

🤿 Underwater searching

Requires scuba gear or a snorkel setup.

• **Equipment:** Minelab Excalibur II, Deus 2 (with underwater coil), Nokta Legend.
• **Specifics:** Salt water causes heavy "chatter". You'll need pulse induction (PI) detectors or a multi-frequency machine.
• **Finds:** Rings, watches, and historical artifacts at river crossings.

🏗️ Deep searching

Looking for large objects (chests, machinery, pipes) at depths of up to 3-6 meters.

• **Equipment:** A deep-seeking detector (frame-type) with spaced coils (Two-Box).
• **Caveat:** It won't detect small items (coins). Only "big stuff".
